If the answer is yes, then we are looking for you to be the next Manager of National Corporate Partnerships for Stop Soldier Suicide (SSS) and join our dynamic team.

To accomplish the mission, it is vital that we have an exceptional team. Mediocrity is not an option. Our headquarters is located in North Carolina’s Research Triangle, but our focus is finding the right teammates to make our goal of decreasing the veteran suicide rate a reality. We’re open to remote work for candidates outside our geographic area, provided you are flexible in accommodating various time zone differences (EST or CST highly preferred).

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Manager of National Corporate Partnerships is responsible for prospecting, identifying, qualifying, and cultivating relationships with new corporate partners. He/She/They will spend time identifying new corporate prospects, conducting research to qualify prospective partners, securing initial discovery phone calls, and following up with timely and relevant materials. They will use various online platforms to better understand a company’s giving interests and help build a case for support. The Manager of National Corporate Partnerships is also expected to work collaboratively within the organization to improve the donor experience and lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager of National Corporate Partnerships shares our passion for saving the lives of veterans, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:

  • Identify prospective corporate partners and conduct research to establish mission alignment.
  • Contact prospective/current corporate partners via cold calls, emails, and social media to activate or increase giving levels.
  • Field incoming calls to assess and qualify potential partners for levels of support and direct them to the appropriate internal contact for follow up.
  • Follow prescribed process and scripting for conducting a call, and provide feedback on how the process can be improved.
  • Review current corporate partners to identify upsell and/or cross department opportunities to increase giving level.
  • Achieve qualitative and quantitative targets, for example 50 outreach activities per day to meet established donor goals. An outreach activity may be defined as emails, discovery phone calls/meetings, social media outreach, etc.
  • Use information from multiple systems simultaneously to target appropriate donor engagement activities, update donor records as needed and to record outcomes of calls.
  • Consistently track all communication/outreach with prospective, past and current corporate partners via Salesforce.
  • Schedule and conduct qualifying meetings to further assess a prospect's potential for investment with SSS.
  • Efficiently analyze data to create/recommend new engagement strategies and optimize existing processes and approaches.
  • Execute virtual and/or in-person presentations to current and/or prospective partners; employee engagement via webinars, solicitation pitches, etc.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for individuals who are committed to the mission, vision, and values of Stop Soldier Suicide. In addition, the Manager of National Corporate Partnerships should possess the following key attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Non-profit management or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit development, business development and sales.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, sound decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to meet and exceed documented performance goals and welcomes challenges.
  • Tech savvy and proficient in using multiple computer applications and systems.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and partners with a “get it done” mentality.
  • Motivated to work for a mission-driven organization that values initiative, teamwork, and drive to continuously perform and improve on behalf of our service members and veterans.
  • Military background/experience/connection preferred.

OBJECTIVES AND KEY RESULTS (OKRs)

This individual is responsible for meeting the following Objectives and Key Results during the first 90-180 days:

  • Identify prospective partners through mission alignment research and qualify prospective corporate leads via discovery calls and presentations
  • Increase revenue generated through Corporate Partnerships by conducting prospect research, qualifying prospective corporate leads via discovery calls and presentations and soliciting gifts with net new corporate partners.
  • Keep an accurate record of data on corporate partner activity and contribute to the development of our engagement strategies.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
