WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, highly visible team, whose purpose is to enhance the performance and well-being of The Nature Conservancy’s 4,200 employees. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting Human Resource programs, procedures, and assisting with general HR administrative activities and executive support function in the North America Region Office.

This dual-role position requires a candidate who can seamlessly navigate between HR responsibilities and executive support tasks, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of our team.

HR Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate personnel files; including processing new hire paperwork, data entry, maintaining online and hard copy files, preparing new hire materials, processing employment changes, responding to employee inquiries, and providing general administrative support.
  • Facilitate background investigation process, complete associated paperwork.
  • Close requisitions and ensure candidates follow appropriate onboarding steps.
  • Ensure proper documentation and processes are followed according to TNC’s guidelines, SOPs and Policies.
  • Onboarding new employees and facilitating orientation programs with a focus on industry-specific knowledge.
  • Provides updates to various HR systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining and handling highly sensitive employee data.
  • Coordinates efforts of special project activities within assigned functions.

Executive Support:

  • Manage calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate parties.
  • Prepare and organize materials for meetings and presentations.
  • Conduct research as needed and prepare background materials for executive meetings.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

 Associates degree, HR professional certification, or 2 years HR-related experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Experience maintaining files, processing paperwork, data entry or related.
  • Experience responding to employee or customer inquiries.
  • Experience working with MS Office software, including Excel spreadsheet software.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
  • Solid knowledge of word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Workday HRMS system

SALARY INFORMATION

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $21.48 - $32.96 (standard 35-hour week) for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
