Compensation: Salary range is $110,000-$140,000. Position is bonus eligible.
Position Location: 95% remote/5% in person in Shoreline/N. King/S. Snohomish. Must live in WA state.

About the Position
This position will serve as a leading spokesperson and ambassador for Wonderland. They are responsible for increasing revenue and engaging stakeholders to support Wonderland’s mission, primarily focused on Wonderland’s Hope RISING Clinic for prenatal substance exposure (PSE). This role will establish and maintain relationships with a portfolio of funders while working with an advocate for additional public funding to support Hope RISING Clinic’s operations and newly established training program. This role manages three direct reports who support fundraising, marketing, and development operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly oversees a portfolio of Wonderland’s top donors while supporting a team to cultivate support from approximately 150 current and prospective major supporters. Ensures that each individual in portfolio receives continuous, personalized attention and ongoing engagement.
  • Develops and implements an annual plan that covers fundraising, marketing, advocacy efforts, and goals for the year.
  • Works with board of directors to support their work to establish and build strong, productive relationships with current and prospective partners and investors.
  • Ensures every financial supporter receives personalized, face-to-face follow-up reports explaining use of funding and benefits created.
  • Oversees the annual Season of Wonder fundraising campaign.
  • Ensures database protocols and procedures are comprehensive, best practice, and executed with discipline and accuracy. Ensures the donor database is continuously updated so that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and appropriately organized.
  • Oversees grants strategy and execution, managing grant writing contractor.
  • Leads the development and implementation of department’s planning efforts, including policies and procedures and implementation of goals.
  • In close partnership with the executive director/CEO, updates and implements the organization’s Growth & Impact Plan, including articulating organization-wide goals; strategies; milestones; metrics; financial strategy; and budget projections.
  • Works closely with CEO to engage the board of directors to capture input and feedback on Growth & Impact Plan and financial projections while overseeing the executive dashboard.
  • Serves as a liaison in support of outreach, advocacy, and relationship-building efforts of the board of directors and CEO to a carefully identified set of influential leaders in philanthropy, corporate leadership, government, nonprofit, community leadership, and advocacy spaces.
  • Develops and refines proposal templates, pitch decks, and impact reports to share with funders and stakeholders.
  • Advocates for public funding for PSE services at the state and national levels. Works with the CEO and contract lobbyist to meet with elected officials and state agencies to increase funding for PSE services.

Position Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with individual, institutional, and corporate major funders.
  • Confidence, professionalism, and passion for the mission.
  • Strong empathy and perseverance; highest ethical standards; optimistic, positive, charismatic.
  • 5+ years’ experience with nonprofit leaders, boards, individual and corporate fundraising, business strategy, team building, organizational development, and performance enhancement.
  • Commitment for all employees to work toward including trauma-informed care practices in their daily work.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
While performing this job, the employee will be in an office environment and their home. At times, this position may lift boxes or items up to 30 pounds. This position sits for extended periods of time, reaches above the head, and uses a screen for up to 8 hours a day.

Wonderland Child & Family Services is a multi-program agency serving children from birth through age 12 with developmental delays, disabilities, and prenatal substance exposure. Founded more than 50 years ago, Wonderland’s mission is to provide a strong and equitable foundation for children and their families with diverse needs and abilities to flourish through therapy, education, advocacy, and resources. We reach hundreds of families every month through Early Support programs & services and Hope RISING Clinic for Prenatal Substance Exposure. Our direct service providers are uniquely trained to provide trauma- and FASD-informed care.
